Rental insurance and deposit: what to confirm

Insurance and deposit conditions are not identical for every rental. At OptimalRent they are discussed individually and stated in your offer and contract before you accept.

Insurance

Ask what coverage applies, whether there is an excess, which drivers and territory are authorised, and which situations are excluded. Never assume that the displayed daily price answers every insurance question.

Deposit

A deposit may depend on the vehicle, rental period and booking profile. Confirm the amount, payment or blocking method, release conditions and expected release time before signing.

Damage procedure

Inspect the vehicle at handover and make sure existing marks are recorded. If an accident, theft, warning light or new damage occurs, contact OptimalRent immediately and follow the contract. Do not arrange repairs without approval.

Cancellation

Cancellation and no-show terms are agreed individually. Ask for the deadline, method of notice and any applicable cost in writing.

Five questions before booking

  • What is the final price?
  • Is a deposit required and how is it released?
  • What insurance and excess apply?
  • What are the cancellation rules?
  • Where and when is handover confirmed?

Ask us for a clear individual offer.
